         Muzik247 releases songs of Kismath    
Muzik247, the prominent music label in the Malayalam film industry, today released the songs of the upcoming movie, 'Kismath'. Featuring seven tracks, Sumesh Parameswar, Shamej Sreedhar and Sushin Shyam have composed the music to the lyrics of Mahakavi Moinkutty Vaidyar, Anwar Ali and Rafeeq Ahammed.

         Suraj, Mammootty in Tamil movie    
Actor Suraj Venjaramoodu is acting in a Tamil film along with Mammootty. He himself has announced this on his Facebook page. The film has been titled ‘Peranpu’ starring Mammootty. He has also posted on the Fb page his photo along with Mammootty taken from the shooting location. Ram, who had won national award for the Tamil film Thankameen, is directing the film.

         Aisha forays into Bollywood    
Isha Talwar, who made her debut in Thattathin Marayathu four years ago as Aisha, is also set to step into bollywood. The actress, who is part of many south Indian films, has finally got a chance to act in her own language and that too with Saif Ali Khan.

         Fahadh with Dileesh Pothen again    
Actor Fahadh Faasil is joining hands with director Dileesh Pothen again after their super hit Malayalam film Maheshinte Prathikaram. Media person Sajeev Pazhoor has penned the story, screen play and dialogues for the film titled Thondimuthalum Driksatshiyum.

         'Kabali' earns Rs 250 crore in India    
CHENNAI: Megastar Rajinikanth-starrer gangster drama "Kabali" has collected a record Rs 250 crore on its first day, producers have said. The Tamil language film, which released worldwide yesterday amid much fan frenzy, has earned Rs 100 crore from theatres in Tamil Nadu itself.

Mohanlal film Pulimurukan’s release date is finally out. It will reach theatres on October 7, when Puja holiday begins. The film crew says the film will create record in terms of the number theatres where it will be released. The highlight of this big-budget film is a fight between Mohanlal and tiger. The stunt director of the film is Peter Hein, who has worked for Sivaji, Anyan, Yanthiran, I and Bahubali.

         Be patient: Deepika on blink-and-miss 'xXx' teaser appearance    
NEW DELHI: Her barely-there appearance in the first teaser-trailer of her Hollywood debut "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage" may have left fans disappointed but actress Deepika Padukone has assured that there is more to be unveiled in the coming days. The 1 minute 24 seconds teaser video of the film, which was released yesterday, was dominated by Vin Diesel, Samuel L Jackson and features Deepika wielding a gun and spinning a blade in not more than three shots.

         Hemath Menon, Padmarajan Ratheesh unite    
Chattakkari fame Hemanth Menon and Padmarajan Ratheesh will be appearing in chief roles in the film Kathorthu. The film will be directed by newbie V S Ajayan. The shoot of the film, a romantic family entertainer, will start on July 25. The film’s theme is a comparison between urban life and rural life. The shoot location has been decided to be Thiruvananthapuram. The director says the films showcases the long wait for love.

         Sunny in cameo role again    
Sunny Wayne seen in super hit films in guest roles will be seen in the same role again. His roles in Thattathil Marayath and Annayum Rasool cannot be forgotten. He will be next seen in a cameo role in Gold Coin of debutant Pramod Gopalan.

         I drink, confesses Ranjini    
Popular giggly TV host Ranjini Haridas has made a public confession that she drinks. She made this revelation during a TV show recently. She also says she is a ‘fixture’ in DJ parties. “How much ever I drink, I shall not go about on four legs or start dancing. I shall walk steadily,” she adds.

         Making a comeback with dream project    
Veteran director IV Sasi is making a comeback after seven years with a big-budget dream project. The film based on Kuwait war has been titled ‘Burning Bells’. The script work is nearing completion. It would be a multi-lingual film to be made in English, Arabic and Hindi.

         Fahadh in G Marthandan's film    
After his hit film Pavada, G Marthandan is making a film with Fahadh in the lead. Joji Thomas, who wrote the script for Biju Menon-starrer Vellimmonga, is writing the script. The film is yet to be titled and other stars including the heroine are yet to be picked. Mahesinte Prathikaram has been Fahadh’s last film.

         Prithviraj-Parvathy pair again    
Moideen-Kanchanamala magic again! Yes the successful on-screen pair Prithviraj and Parvathy is again here. The artistes are coming together for the film My Story. Prithviraj himself has let out the news through his Facebook post. Prithvi and Parvathy will play Jay and Thara respectively. This will be the first directorial venture of Roshni Dinakar, who is a costume designer in the film field.

         Lal as Nivin Pauly's father    
Actor Lal will be shortly appearing as youth actor Nivin Pauly’s father. He will do this role in the film to be directed by Premam fame Altaf. Lal is also acting in the second part of the film Honeybee, directed by his son Jean Paul.

         Suraj to play nameless character    
Actor Suraj Venjaramoddu, who had grabbed National award for his lead role in the film Perariyathavar, is going to take up the role of a nameless character. New comer Ashok is directing that film, which has been titled Savari. Suraj who goes around in a cycle is called Savari by everyone in his locality. He will rush to a person if he calls him for any help.

         K B Ganesh Kumar to face camera again    
MLA K B Ganesh Kumar is again going to come in front of the camera. This is his first outing in cine world after becoming an LDF MLA from Pathanapuram. He is making a comeback through the film Vakku which has been scripted by Madhupal and directed by Sujith S Nair.

         'Kabali' producer moves HC to prevent illegal download of film    
CHENNAI: Tamil film producer S Thanu today moved the Madras High Court seeking to prevent illegal downloads of superstar Rajnikanth's upcoming film 'Kabali' through about 180 websites and "countless unknown sites". The producer of the film, in his writ petition, sought a direction to Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) to issue instructions to all service providers to block websites offering illegal download of the film.

         Mohanlal-Ranjith team again    
After Loham, Malayalis’ dear actor Mohanlal and director Ranjtih are uniting again, says report. The works for the new film will start in the next year. Ranjith made his debut as director in Mohanlal starrer Ravana Prabhu. After that he directed films such as Pranchiyettan and the Saint and India Rupee. Now Ranjith is busy with the scripting works of a film to be directed by Rajeev Nath.

         Sai Pallavi turns down offer with Ajith    
Sai Pallavi of Premam has turned down the offer to work with Tamil actor Ajith in his next film titled Thala 57. She refused to accept the offer due to her earlier commitments.

         Prabu Deva to tell Nayan’s life story?    
Choreographer-actor Prabhu Deva is getting ready to make his ex-lover Nayanthara’s life story into a film. This film will also see Prabhu Deva appearing as the hero after a long gap. It is said that many of the scenes have close resemblance to incidents in Nayan’s life. Prabhu who is at present busy in Bollywood will become live in Tamil again. The title given to the film is Devi. Thamanna will play the heroine.

         'Deepti IPS' to debut in Malayalam film    
Deepti IPS of Parasparam seriel had become a household name in Kerala. Now the news is Gayathri, who has been doing the role of Deepti, is about to debut in a Malayalam film. In the film titled Sarvopari Palakkaran, she will be appearing as a police officer again. The character's name is Chandra Sivakumar.

This comes after his award winning Zachariayude Garbhinikal and critically acclaimed Kumbasaram. “The story of the film pertains to 1980-85 period. “It is a love story happening in eighties. It is said through several humorous instances. Manikantan who rose to fame through Kammattipadam is also doing an important character in the film,” said Aneesh.

Ever since the announcement of the title of Dileep’s film ‘Professor Dinkan’, controversies have been stalking it. Followers of Dinkoism had come out in protest against the title. But the crew persisted and decided to go ahead the same name for this 3D film.

         Ramadan releases from tomorrow
