KOCHI: Three migrants who were controlling traffic as part of the Kochi Metro got killed in Aluva after being rammed over by a lorry.

The incident took place by about 12.00 am on Friday. The police is in search of the lorry that caused the accident, and drove away without stopping.

Traffic from one side of the road was blocked as part of the construction works going on for the Kochi Metro, and four other-state labourers were put on duty to control the traffic here.

A lorry that lost control just rammed into them by about 12.00 am on Friday.

Two of them died on spot, and a third one died at the Ernakulam Medical College Hospital Friday morning. The fourth one, who is admitted at the hospital with serious injuries, is in a critical condition.

All the four of them are natives of Uttar Pradesh.
