KOCHI: CBI has approached the court, seeking the cancellation of the bail of Karayi Rajan, who is a CPM leader and an accused in the murder of NDF activist Fasal. The CBI submitted that Rajan had breached bail conditions and hence his bail be cancelled.

Rajan had taken part in the State film award ceremony in Thalassery, despite the bail condition that he should not enter Kannur district. This had become controversial. He also took part in the Kannur district panchayat meeting that took place the next day. But Karayi said he had taken special permission to take part in the panchayat meeting.
