SRINAGAR: In the massive encounter underway in Shopian, Jammu and Kashmir since last night, a terrorist has been neutralised on Sunday as security forces have been giving a strong response.

The dead body of one terrorist has been recovered and counter-terror operations are underway.

Earlier in the day, two Indian Army soldiers were killed in the fierce gun battle.

The area has been cordoned, as around three terrorists are believed to be holed up and attempts are being made to smoke them out.

Meanwhile, in another development, a group of terrorists attacked a police searching party at Bandipora's Hajin area today, in which two police personnel have been injured.

Cordon and search operation has been launched by the police and other forces to nab the terrorists.

Further details are awaited.
