NEW DELHI: One of the national media houses has reported that a Malayalee ISIS agent was killed in the US bombing in Afghanistan. Nevertheless, the Indian external affairs ministry has not confirmed this.

The report said that the man killed was Shajeer Mangalassery Abdullah from Kozhikode, who is believed to one of the top ISIS agents instrumental in spreading the ideas of the organisation in India. The man who disappeared from Kerala under suspicious circumstances was an ISIS commander in Afghanistan.

It was reported earlier that 13 Indian terrorists were suspected to be killed in the US bombing of Nangarhar in Afghanistan last Saturday. But this has not been confirmed by the external affairs ministry.

Nangarhar is believed to be the place where many ISIS agents arrived including those missing from Kerala. There were no news of them after the bombing of the place by the US.

US had dropped the GBU-43/B, known as the ‘Mother of all Bombs’ at Nangarhar a few days ago.
