KOCHI: Amidst the ongoing rift between the producers and theatre owners, a new film has been released in over 200 centers of the state including B Class theatres. Tamil action thriller Bairavaa, starring Ilayathapathy Vijay was released Thursday morning. ‘A’ Class theatres of the state will not open from today. Kerala Film Exhibitors Federation, an organization of A Class theatre owners, decided not to open theatres without solving the dispute in theatre collection.

Bairavaa was released in Cine Exhibitors Association’s 70 theatres, multiplexes and government theatres. Vinod Mankar’s Kamboji which was to release today has now been postponed to next week as they wanted more theatres.

Jay K’s Prithviraj film Esra will release next Thursday. Mohanlal’s Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol, Dulqar Salman’s Joemonte Visheshangal and Jayasurya’s Fukri will release in the coming weeks.
