NUS, NTU among top three in 2016 QS Asia university rankings NUS retains its title as Asia’s best university, while NTU rises one place to take the regional bronze medal. SMU enters the rankings in 60th place. LONDON: Singapore universities National University of Singapore (NUS) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) have emerged among the top three in the 2016 QS University Rankings in Asia. The ranking, which was released on Tuesday (Jun 14), saw NUS retain its title as Asia’s best university, following its 12th-place performance in last September’s QS World University Rankings. Meanwhile, NTU rose one place to take the regional bronze medal and Singapore Management University entered the rankings in 60th place. QS added that it has expanded this year's ranking to include the region’s 350 best universities – 50 more than the previous year.
