Wildfires continue to rage across the western United States, destroying dozens of homes and forcing the evacuation of hundreds more.

At least 200,000 hectares of land have been burned in Idaho, Oregon, California and Washington state, where a big blaze reportedly began at a building site. Authorities say there are no signs it was intentional.

Out-of-control fires have been sweeping across the Western US which is baking in a heatwave.

At least two of those battling the flames have been injured and on Sunday a falling tree killed a 20-year-old female firefighter in Idaho.
