KOCHI: New evidences have emerged proving that Sreejith, who died in police custody, received injuries while he was in lockup.

Photos of Sreejith taken at night after he was brought to the police station are out now. There is no sign of Sreejith having received any injuries in these photos. This suggests that Sreejith received the injuries after 11.00 pm on April 6, the day when he was taken into custody, or early in the morning of April 7. These photos would prove to be a crucial evidence in the case.

Sreejith experienced severe stomach ache and was taken to the hospital on the morning of April 7. He died on the evening of April 9.

Meanwhile, the Rural Tiger Force (RTF) under the rural SP that was responsible for Sreejith’s custody death has been disbanded. Sreejith was taken into custody by the RTF. RTF members M S Sumesh, Jithin Raj, and P P Santosh Kumar were suspended following allegations that it was their brutal treatment that led to Sreejith’s death.
